Andrew Caused $26 billion in damage
ABOVE VIDEO: 25 years ago, Floridians braced for impact as Hurricane Andrew grew into a major hurricane that was ultimately one of the most catastrophic and costly storms in history. Estimated damage from Andrew totaled approximately $26 billion. Homestead Florida endured some of the harshest winds due to several tornadoes spawned by Andrew. Homestead has yet to fully recover, and Andrew remains among the top storms to compare all Hurricanes since 1992.
