Brevard Rockets To Host Jacksonville In High School Hockey Saturday at Space Coast Iceplex

The Brevard Rockets will host the Jacksonville Jets to begin the 2017 high school hockey Fall season on Saturday, October 7  at the Space Coast Iceplex.

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The Brevard Rockets will host the Jacksonville Jets to begin the 2017 high school hockey Fall season on Saturday, October 7  at the Space Coast Iceplex.

Game time is at 4:30 p.m. and admission is free.

The Brevard Rockets U16/U18/High School Hockey program is a regional high school hockey program, playing in the Central Florida High School Hockey League, as well as exhibition games and tournaments.

“We have been providing a quality high school hockey experience since our inaugural season in 2013,” said club president John Batchelor.

“Our steady growth, now allows us to produce two Spring teams, Varsity A and B, and 1 Fall team.”

The Brevard Rockets run prep clinics just prior to both seasons. Spring tryouts take place in mid-March and the Fall team is formed no later than mid-August.

“Over the years our teams have steadily become more competitive, culminating in our Spring 2016 Varsity A championship appearance,” said Batchelor.

The Spring season runs from April to mid-June. The Fall season runs from early September through mid-December, with tournaments in January and February.
