Melbourne City Council Waives Building Permit Fees for Hurricane Irma Damage

In order to help citizens and businesses recover from Hurricane Irma the Melbourne City Council has adopted a resolution temporarily waiving building permit fees for work specific to hurricane-related damage.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – In order to help citizens and businesses recover from Hurricane Irma the Melbourne City Council has adopted a resolution temporarily waiving building permit fees for work specific to hurricane-related damage.

Fees will be waived for a 60-day period between September 11, 2017, and November 10, 2017. Permits are still required.

All permits already issued and noted as Hurricane Irma damage will be automatically refunded to the person or company that pulled the permit.
