Don’t miss Health First Physician Dr. Richard Thompson’s free Heart & Vascular Seminar, “Cardiac Imaging: Picturing How Your Heart is Working,” on Monday, Feb. 19, at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto Place, located at 200 Rialto Place in Melbourne, Florida.

Dr. Thompson’s seminar, which will be held 12 noon to 1 p.m, will discuss how images from Echo, CT and MRI reveal your heart’s condition and how it is functioning.

Learn how cardiologists use cardiac imaging to diagnose heart disease and to develop treatment plans.

Dr. Richard Thompson is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine — Cardiovascular Disease, the Board of Cardiac CT, American Board of Echocardiography, Board of Nuclear Cardiology and National Board of Medical Examiners.

He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He earned his Master of Arts in Physiology from Ball State University, his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Ind. and his Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Thompson completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He also completed Fellowships in Cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich. and in Cardiovascular MRI and Cardiac CT at St. Vincent Heart Hospital in Indianapolis.

Dr. Thompson most recently worked in Cardiology at Midwest Heart and Vascular Specialists in Overland Park, Kan. He has also worked in Cardiology at Kansas City Cardiology Inc. and Northland Cardiology, P.C. both located in Kansas City, Mo.

Published in numerous medical journals, Dr. Thompson is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, Society of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging and a founding member of the Society for Cardiovascular Computerized Tomography.
