OBITUARY: 45-Year NASA Veteran James Wesley Fowler Passed Away Feb. 1 at 93

BREVARD COUNTY • BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – James Wesley Fowler passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at the age of 93.
Born Jan. 25, 1925, Wesley is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia June as well as children James R., Rebecca (Richard) Soehner, Loretta (Jim) Wells, Kathryn (Stephen) Wheat, daughter-in-law Lisa Fowler and Neil Mullins, whom he also considered as one of his children.
He was pre-deceased by his cherished son Michael and daughter-in-law Toni Fowler. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a great legacy of love.
Wesley was a decorated veteran of World War II and was proud to be part of the birth of the U.S. Space Program, working for NASA for 45 years.
He loved fishing, playing pinochle, crossword puzzles and making one dollar bets on sports games with family. We will miss his reply of “Outstanding” when asked how he was when we called him on the phone. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday February 5, 2018 at North Brevard Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday February 6, 2018 at St. Teresa Catholic Church.
