BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA– This past week, two different fugitives were captured in Brevard County after citizens utilized our Smartphone App to lead our Fugitive Unit to their location.
To start the week off we received a tip through our BCSO App that shared with our Fugitive Unit the location and whereabouts of James Hall who was wanted on a warrant for Violation of Drug Offender Probation and a host of other charges.
Thanks to the tip, our Fugitive Unit was able to locate Hall and give him a free ride to the “Grey Bar Hotel” where he is now a preferred guest through our Hotel Rewards Program.
Following Hall’s arrest, our team received a second tip through our Smartphone App that told us where we could find April Bertrand who has been a fugitive since February.
The tip provided us with Bertrand’s exact location where she was subsequently taken into custody and also transported to the Brevard County Jail.
I almost feel bad for criminals (not really I was just kidding) in Brevard County these days, as between Wheel of Fugitive, Cookin’ Up Justice and now our Smartphone App it’s pretty apparent that if they break the law a trip to the Brevard County Jail is in their immediate future.
So if you haven’t already done so, please download our BCSO App on your smartphone.
The App will allow you to help us keep criminals off our streets while also getting the most up to date Crime Prevention tips, traffic information, sex offender locator map, mug shots, and even an up to date list of pets that are available for adoption at our Animal Care Center.
I would like to personally thank our citizens who turned in our two fugitives this week for partnering with us through our Smartphone App to make sure that Brevard County is one of the safest places to call home.
