WEATHER ALERT: Strong Thunderstorms Bound For Brevard County Tuesday Afternoon

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Weather Service is advising Brevard County residents that strong to severe storms are moving quickly toward the east at 30 mph.

The system contains coin size hail in some areas and wind gusts up to 50 mph.

Locations impacted include Orlando, Palm Bay, Melbourne, Kissimmee and Titusville.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

As a reminder, lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm and residents are advised to move indoors ahead of the storms.

The weather advisory is in effect until 1:15 p.m. ET
