BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA– On this edition of “Cookin Up Justice,” Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey asks the public for any information regarding a 37-year old cold case involving 13-year old Brenda Riley, whose body was discovered off Catalina Isle Drive, only several blocks from her residence back on May 27, 1971.

The initial investigation uncovered that Brenda may have been befriended by an unknown white male, 18-20-years old at a convenience store.

This person has never been located or identified.

The below composite sketch was completed in 1971 by witnesses who observed Brenda walking with the subject in the area of the Sunoco gas station and the U Totem convenience store.

Sheriff Ivey visited Cabana Shores Tiki Bar and Grill this week, and along with the owner Josh Taylor, cooked up delicious Cabana’s signature steak stir-fry dish.

Cabana Shores is located at 5240 North US Highway 1 just south of the Pineda Causeway and is a favorite place to dine and enjoy a cold beverage for many of the residents here on the Space Coast.
