EXPO SET FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA– The State Small Business Expo will hold its third annual event June 9 and 10 at the Melbourne Square Mall, located at 1700 West New Haven Avenue.

The Expo kicks off tonight with a Red Carpet Reception at the Red Ginger Restaurant located in the Melbourne Square mall.

The event is free for VIPs, sponsors, and exhibitors which consists of celebrating, networking and many raffles and auctions to raise money to benefit The Children’s Hunger Project.

“The SSBX Small Business Expo is a free two-day shopping and networking event where you will have the opportunity to shop with local business from around the Space Coast,” said Grace Han of Red Ginger Restaurant.

“It will be a perfect opportunity for you to support friends, family, and neighbors that are small business owners. There will also be entertainment and motivational seminars. This will be an extraordinary weekend and we hope that you will be part of it.”

The SSBX State Small Business Expo has more than 100 local small business professionals and entrepreneurs from the Space Coast participating as vendors.

The State Small Business Expo will hold its third annual event June 9 and 10 at the Melbourne Square Mall, located at 1700 West New Haven Avenue.

“Join us in learning from the best and the brightest in the industry as you network with like-minded business professionals and learn strategies to advance your business,” said Selo Alkaanfil.

The Children’s Hunger Project currently feed 1650 kids at 41 elementary schools throughout the county each and every week.

All of the food is packed and delivered by volunteers who work out of a donated warehouse to eliminate the cost of rent.

Over 50 percent of Brevard students are eligible for the national free/reduced lunch program and 62 percent of teachers know of a child that comes to school hungry.

The Children’s Hunger Project currently feed 1650 kids at 41 elementary schools throughout the county each and every week.

It costs The Children’s Hunger Project $4.00 for a weekend package of food for each child and $150.00 to feed a child for the entire school year.  That breaks down to $12.50 on a recurring donation to feed a child for the entire school year.

The State Small Business Expo is proud and excited to help this worthy organization and invites the Space Coast to come to visit the Melbourne Square Mall this weekend during business hours to shop with the many local businesses that will have tables set up throughout the Mall.
