Jimmy Mwanga, Cristina Garriga Named Eastern Florida State Student-Athlete of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A pair of soccer players were named Eastern Florida State College student-athletes of the week for the week ending Aug. 27. 

Men’s soccer player Jimmy Mwanga and women’s soccer player Cristina Garriga both helped their teams to a 2-0 start on the season.

Mwanga, a sophomore from Dublin, Ireland, scored four goals and an assist in two games and leads the Titans with nine points.

Garriga, a sophomore from Barcelona, Spain, scored two goals and assisted on two others in two games for the women’s soccer team.

The men’s soccer team travels to Palm Beach Atlantic on Tuesday and the women’s soccer team will host Southwestern Illinois Friday night at 8 p.m. Admission to games at Titan Soccer Complex are free.
