Melbourne Man, 69, Killed In Three-Vehicle Crash At Intersection of Washburn Rd. and Sarno Rd.

Melbourne Police responded to a fatal crash involving multiple vehicles Tuesday afternoon that killed 69-year-old Leonard Robert Farnung III at the intersection of Washburn Rd. and Sarno Rd.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police responded to a fatal crash involving multiple vehicles Tuesday afternoon that killed 69-year-old Leonard Robert Farnung III at the intersection of Washburn Rd. and Sarno Rd.

Police say the crash involved three vehicles around 1:30 p.m. when Farnung turned off Washburn Rd. and was struck by two vehicles traveling on Sarno Rd. The impact from the crash killed Farnung.

No other injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation by Melbourne Police.

The Melbourne Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Unit is asking any potential witnesses with relevant information to contact Officer Whitright #316 at 321-608-6731(MPD1).
