Norman A. Lee, 69, of Merritt Island Passes Away July 27 Following Injuries Sustained in Motorcycle Accident

Norman Lee was lifelong New Hampshire resident before relocating to Merritt Island, Florida
BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Norman A. Lee, 69, a lifelong New Hampshire resident before relocating to Merritt Island, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, in Fryeburg, Maine, following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born in Derry New Hampshire, on July 4, 1949, the son of the late Armand and Laura (Cote) Lee. Norman was raised in Derry and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy and a member of the Air National Guard. He began working at an early age as a welder for his father and progressed to establishing Lee Freighter and Equipment in Londonderry, which he operated until 1997.
Norman was always busy with projects including establishing and growing many new businesses. He was well respected by both his employees and other business associates. Norman and Lillian are members of the Devine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island, Florida.
Keeping up with Norman was no easy task. He enjoyed staying active and physically fit. He hiked and skied some of the biggest mountains in the country, played competitive racquetball, enjoyed cycling, golfing, water skiing, and deep-sea fishing off Florida’s coast. Norman was an avid fisherman who loved boating and held his Captain’s license.
He and his wife loved adventures and rallies on their motorcycle. They are active members of the Harley Owners Group (HOGS). Norman had a passion for adventure and traveled to many exotic places with his wife by his side. Some of his favorite destinations were Europe, Alaska, Central America and the Caribbean Islands. Most of all Norman will be remembered for his unwavering love and commitment to his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 47 years, Lillian (Munroe) Lee; his daughter, Sherry (Lee) Marsden and her husband Michael; his son, Shannon Lee and his wife Kelly (Russell) Lee; five grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Max, Marlee, and Mia; four brothers, Albert Lee, Arthur Lee, James Lee and Randall Lee; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018, from 4-6 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH.
