WEATHER: Work Week Forecast, Heat Index Stays in Upper 90s, Tropics Worth Watching

NHC Monitoring Tropical Storm Kirk
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Despite the start of fall, the weather in the week ahead will feel like more of the same in Brevard County, hot and humid.
Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s with the heat index making it feel in the upper 90s. There is a chance of afternoon storms each day during the upcoming week.
The tropics remain active with several systems requiring close attention.
There are currently three systems in the Atlantic being monitored by the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
Two of the four systems are being watched closely. Disturbance 1, located between Bermuda and the Bahamas and Tropical Storm Kirk.
Kirk is moving very fast at 23 mph on a westward track and is forecast to still be a tropical storm on Friday and is forecast to be located in the center between Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
