'Embrace Home Loans encourages and allows me the opportunity to give back to the community'

Winston Churchill’s sage statement, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give,” is an axiom for Stephen Thaggard and his company, Embrace Home Loans. “Supporting the community is a huge part of our core values here at Embrace Home Loans – and to me personally,” said Thaggard.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Winston Churchill’s sage statement, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give,” is an axiom for Stephen Thaggard and his company, Embrace Home Loans.

“Embrace Home Loans encourages and allows me the opportunity to give back to the community through sponsorships as well as volunteered time,” said Thaggard, who is the sales manager of the office in Viera.

“Supporting the community is a huge part of our core values here at Embrace Home Loans – and to me personally.”

As with most dedicated philanthropic volunteers, he also gives “props” to his wife Karen, along with coworkers Matthew Becker, Lizann Livingston, Chris Wurtzbacher, Greg Peele and Jessica Johnson.

“I work with the best people, they join me in many of these sponsorships and events to help support our community,” said Thaggard

Among the organizations and causes that benefit from the Thaggard–Embrace effort is the Sharing Center of Central Brevard, The Children’s Hunger Project, Brevard Children and Families in Need, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Merritt Island High School Band and disabled veterans across Central Florida.

“Embrace Home Loans encourages and allows me the opportunity to give back to the community through sponsorships as well as volunteered time,” said Stephen Thaggard, who is the sales manager of the office in Viera.

Embrace sponsors The Sharing Center of Central Brevard’s annual Amateur Backyard Barbecue Contest, with all proceeds going to the Children’s Weekend Feeding Program – a program designed to empower families with children by providing access to healthy food on the weekends while school is in session.

The event supports struggling families with children who deal with hunger on a daily basis.

The Embrace Home team recently sponsored and participated in the Fight Child Hunger 5k with proceeds benefiting The Central Brevard Sharing Center and The Children’s Hunger Project.

“Through Embrace Home Loans’ backing, The Children’s Hunger Project will be able to feed an additional 133 local children in 2018, and fewer children will go hungry on the Space Coast,” said Thaggard.

“It’s probably difficult for many of us to imagine that kids are going hungry right here in our own community, but the sad truth is that it’s happening. We were thrilled we got to be a part of such an inspirational and powerful event.”
