Held Fundraising Events to Benefit the American Cancer Society and The Children’s Hunger Project
BREVARD COUNTY • SUNTREE, FLORIDA – Metro Diner, which will officially open Tuesday, December 4 at 7954 N. Wickham Road in Suntree, held charitable fundraisers this weekend to benefit the American Cancer Society and The Children’s Hunger Project.
A warm welcome and indulgent comfort foods are just some of the memorable moments that guests will experience as they walk through the doors of Metro Diner for the first time on Tuesday.
The 3,800-square-foot eatery will feature a menu of everyone’s favorite diner classics. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner all day, the diner will indulge the taste buds with new twists on traditional dishes and sip on beer, wine, mimosas and Bloody Marys.
“Guests feel at home when they come to Metro Diner because we welcome them as if they are coming to our own house,” said Melbourne Metro Diner Managing Partner Scott Lepson.
“Metro Diner is known as the place where ‘the locals eat’ and we hope to be the new go-to destination where our Melbourne diners turn into regulars.”
The diner features indoor seating for 100 guests, covered outdoor seating for 16 guests and will be open Monday through Saturday 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. and from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Metro Diner features daily blackboard specials with quality ingredients and a scratch kitchen that also serves gluten-friendly options.
From comfort food favorites like Fried Chicken & Waffles and the diner’s acclaimed Meatloaf Plate, to new dinner menu items including Chicken Parmesan and the Pulled Pork Mac Stack – a half-pound of BBQ pulled pork piled over creamy macaroni & cheese and a cheddar cornbread waffle topped with maple butter – large portion sizes enable guests to enjoy a delicious meal at a great value, with most dishes priced under $15.
The Brevard County community celebrated the arrival of Metro Diner during special pre-opening charity events this weekend. All donations benefited the American Cancer Society on Saturday, Dec. 1, whose mission is to eliminate cancer and help those affected by the disease.
On Sunday, Dec. 2, all donations benefited the Children’s Hunger Project, whose mission is to restore hope and provide support to hungry children throughout Brevard County.
Guests who provided a donation got a sneak peek of the new eatery and enjoy Metro Diner favorites.
Metro Diner is hiring over 100 Melbourne-area residents. Applications to join the team are being accepted for all positions including servers, hosts, cooks and kitchen staff. The diner provides a team atmosphere with long-term career growth opportunities and competitive compensation.
