The Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast attracts and advances investment across Brevard County

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast connects people and opportunity, and few examples illustrate that better than Amazon’s growing footprint across the region.
Since 2020, the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast has worked closely with Amazon on multiple projects representing more than $400 million in capital investment across Brevard County.
Most recently, the company selected the Space Coast for its landmark Amazon Leo satellite processing operations.
Since 2020, Amazon has invested $33 million in a Cocoa distribution center, creating 170 jobs; a $30 million distribution center in Melbourne, supporting 140 full-time positions and approximately 200 delivery drivers; nearly $140 million in its satellite processing facility at Kennedy Space Center, creating more than 130 high-tech jobs; and more than $200 million in launch infrastructure upgrades at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
“What makes Amazon’s investment particularly significant is the breadth of opportunities it creates for Space Coast residents at every skill level,” said an Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast spokesperson.
