PETER CRANIS: 'I’m very much looking forward to having Jeff join our organization'
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Space Coast Tourism Development Office Director Peter Cranis has announced that Jeffrey A. Baron has joined the Space Coast Office of Tourism as Finance Manager, effective April 15.
A detail-oriented business professional with more than 15 years’ experience in the defense, local government and appraisal industries, Baron holds an MBA in Business Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology and a BSBA degree in Accounting and Business Information Systems from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
His principal strengths include administration, business, finance and customer service.
“I’m very much looking forward to having Jeff join our organization starting on April 15,” said Cranis.
“His background and experience will help us moving forward in combination with a full financial audit which we are undergoing now. There is no more important role we play as a Tourism Office than to ensure Tourist Development Tax funds are accounted for appropriately and that spending is monitored so that we can provide full transparency to our leadership and the community.”
In addition to running his own firm, The Baron Company LLC since 2008, he previously worked for Harris GCSD in Palm Bay for six years and SAIC in Melbourne.
From 1995 to 2001, Baron was a Senior Deputy Court Administrator for Brevard County. In that role, he managed state and county budgets and participated in the county budgeting process.
Baron replaces Stacey DeLano, who resigned from the Space Coast Office of Tourism last January.
