Eastern Florida State Finishes In Fourth Place At National Championship Tournament

TUCSON, ARIZONA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s tennis team tied for fourth place in the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament in Tucson, Arizona.

The No. 3 doubles team of Fabricio Galvan and Sebastian Bunster won the consolation finals by defeating Hinds’ Eric Holmes and Drew Rexrode in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

The win was the first in program history for the Titans.

Galvan also made it to the consolation finals in No. 4 singles, falling to Seward’s Sanders Jans 6-1, 6-4 in the championship match.

Adriel Azucey (No. 3 singles), Bunster (No. 5 singles), Nicholas Mora (No. 6 singles) made the semifinals of the main draw in their flights along with the No. 1 doubles team of Azucey and Frederik Oervad as well as the No. 2 doubles team of Nils Michel and Nicholas Mora.
