Heavy Rains Affects Cocoa Utilities Water Meter Reading, Customers May Receive Estimated Bill

SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Due to recent heavy rains, a number of properties in the Cocoa Utilities service area are inaccessible to the Utility Field Services Division for water meter reading purposes. BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Due to recent heavy rains, a number of properties in the Cocoa Utilities service area are inaccessible to the Utility Field Services Division for water meter reading purposes.
The Cocoa Utilities Department supplies more than 22.7 million gallons a day of drinking water to approximately 85,000 customers in central Brevard County including services for Brevard County; the cities of Rockledge, Cape Canaveral, Titusville and Cocoa Beach; and Sun Lake and Colony Park.
“Our field services employees are working diligently to obtain a reading at each meter but in the event a meter cannot be accessed, the customer will receive an estimated bill based on their average monthly usage,” said Cocoa utilities officials on social media.

The City of Cocoa has been providing water for its residents and businesses for more than 80 years.
