Cocoa Police Take Down Five-Time Convicted Felon for Stolen Firearm, Illegal Drug Possession

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Department’s proactive enforcement to reduce violent crime is making a real difference in our community.

On Friday, Cocoa Police officers Fredette and Hartzell, along with the dedicated support of their fellow Bravo Squad officers and a Brevard County Sheriff’s K-9, teamed up to take dangerous suspects off the streets.

Their efforts during a traffic stop led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of drugs and two firearms—one of which was reported stolen from Melbourne.

Among the suspects was a juvenile found in possession of a firearm, now held at the Juvenile Detention Center.

The second suspect, a five-time convicted felon, was caught with the stolen firearm and approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine.

The suspect is currently in custody at the Brevard County Jail with a bond set at $12,500.
