Brevard Supervisor of Elections Lori Scott Collects 415 Pounds of Food for Christmas Drive

Over the past 10 years Scott has collected more than 3,500 pounds of food

Brevard County Supervisor of Election Lori Scott and her staff donated more than 415 pounds of collected food to WESH 2’s Share Your Christmas Food Drive, benefitting Central Florida families in need.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Brevard County Supervisor of Election Lori Scott and her staff donated more than 415 pounds of collected food to WESH 2’s Share Your Christmas Food Drive, benefitting Central Florida families in need.

“This is the 10th year my office has been involved with this food drive and each year the generosity for those in need continues to grow thanks to the overwhelming kindness of our community,” said Scott.

The collected donations are shared with the Second Harvest Food Bank, which works with more than 550 grassroots organizations across Central Florida to distribute the food to needy families.

“The outpouring of support from my staff and the community members who participate in this food drive each year is a wonderful reminder of the overwhelming kindness that exists in Brevard,” said Scott.

“Over the years, my office has collected over 3,100 pounds of non-perishable food in partnership with WESH 2 and I look forward to another successful food drive this year.”
