Former Cocoa Tiger Antonio Wallace Identified as Man Shot, Killed During Home Invasion Wednesday

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect shot and killed during an attempted home invasion on December 4 in unincorporated Cocoa.
The dead man was identified as 27-year-old Antonio Wallace of Cocoa, who was a member of Cocoa High School’s 2009 state title football team.
“The investigation began December 4 shortly afternoon, when a 911 call was received from an individual who reported they shot a person attempting to burglarize the residence he was at,” said Brevard County spokesman Tod Goodyear.
“The caller advised that as the suspect was attempting to climb through the window, the caller fired at the suspect, who fell back out of the window. Upon the arrival of deputies, a deceased male subject was located in the backyard of the residence.”
The investigation is ongoing and upon completion will be forwarded to the State Attorney’s Office for review.
