A rabies alert has been issued for a portion of Palm Bay, according to Brevard County Emergency Management. The alert will remain in place for 60 days.

BREVARD COUNTY – The Brevard County Department of Health has issued a rabies alert for an area of Palm Bay located west of Interstate 95, according to a tweet on Thursday from Brevard County Emergency Management.

The alert zone includes portions of Americana Blvd. NE and Eldron Blvd. NE, within the 32907 area code.

The alert will remain in place for 60 days, officials said.

Management officials encourage those who have been bitten or scratched by domestic animals to seek medical attention and to report the injury to Brevard County Animal Services at 321-633-2024.
