WATCH REPLAY: Viera High School hosts Sebastian River High School in Class 6A, District 12 post-season action. Space Coast Daily’s Chis Bonanno and Gavin Keith have the call.
BREVARD COUNTY – Viera defeated Sebastian River 8-0 in Class 6A, District 12 postseason action on Thursday night.
Allison Worley scored five goals for the Hawks (14-1-2).
Viera’s Victoria Whener scored less than 90 seconds into the game to give the Hawks a lead they would never relinquish.
The contest was stopped due to the mercy rule early in the second half after Viera tallied their eighth goal.
Viera will take on Martin County Wednesday at 7 p.m. in one of two district semifinal contests.
