More flights and larger aircraft bring 7,686 more available seats to passengers this month

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – This February, American Airlines’ total available seats at Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB) are up 62% from February 2019, totaling 20,098 available seats to and from its major hubs in Charlotte (CLT) and Philadelphia (PHL).
The significant increase in seat availability for travelers is a result of American Airlines’ decision to begin new daily nonstop flights to Philadelphia and adding its much larger A319 aircraft once a day to its Charlotte route.
“The addition of new daily service and larger aircraft is a huge investment from American Airlines,” said Airport Executive Director Greg Donovan, A.A.E.
“Our passengers can now take advantage of these enhanced services with more daily options and additional opportunities for seat upgrades.”

Daily service to two of American Airlines’ major hubs gives MLB passengers the option to fly to a variety of destinations worldwide with just one stop through Charlotte or Philadelphia.
This also provides travelers worldwide more opportunity to land right in the heart of Florida’s Space Coast with world-famous beaches, cruises and attractions.
Delta Air Lines has also added an additional flight to its schedule this February, totaling five daily flights to and from its hub in Atlanta (ATL).
American Airlines’ daily nonstop flights from PHL arrive in Melbourne late morning and depart for Philadelphia around noon. The newly upgraded service on the 128-seat A319 arrive at MLB and depart for Charlotte in the late afternoon.
MLB’s complete February flight schedule can be found at MLBair.com and travelers can book the newly available seats and services from American Airlines at AA.com.
