Space Coast MMA was formed by Josh Goodyear to promote events for local amateur mixed martial artists.

A fighter himself, Goodyear has had to travel in order to participate in MMA events and saw an opportunity to give local fighters a chance to compete in front of their friends, family and hometown crowd.

Having fought in the top Amateur MMA events in the state, Josh knows what the fan and fighter are looking for; a well-run event with good competitive matches.

That is the goal of the events that Space Coast MMA will bring to the martial arts community in Brevard County. Every event will also benefit a local sports organization or charity.

Goodyear is a graduate of Eau Gallie High School and the University of Central Florida.

He has been involved in martial arts for almost 10 years and currently holds a brown belt in jiu-jitsu.

He continues to compete in amateur MMA and intends to turn professional in 2020. He teaches MMA at Brazilian Top Team and trains several fighters who compete in Amateur MMA events.
