Titans Softball Win An Incredible Shutout Against Florida State College at Jacksonville 11-0

BREVARD COUNTY •  MELBOURNE, FLORIDA  – The Eastern Florida State College softball team bounced back to split a doubleheader with the Florida State College at Jacksonville Friday at Titan Softball Complex.

FSC-Jacksonville broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the seventh inning to win the first game 4-3 but the Titans came out swinging in the second game as the first four players would score in the bottom of the first highlighted by sophomore Madison Neuhaus’ first home run of the season – a three-run shot.

Up 4-3 in the fourth inning the Titans would send 12 batters to the plate, scoring six times highlighted by freshman Gabriela Garcia’s two-run double. It was the third double of the game for Garcia.

Up 10-3 Garcia scored the game-ending run on a passed ball. It was the third time she scored in the game. Sarah Thomas and Neuhaus scored twice in the win.

McKinleigh Millard picked up her second win of the season, allowing one earned run on four hits.

In Game 1, Sarah Thomas had two hits, three stolen bases and scored two of the three runs. Katelyn Wilfert took the loss in Game 1.
