BREVARD COVID-19 UPDATE, APRIL 12: Space Coast Reports 133 Coronavirus Cases, Four Deaths

COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 34

As of Monday morning, Brevard County has 133 reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health. Four deaths have been reported as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County, including one on Sunday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As of Monday morning, Brevard County has 133 reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health.

According to the Florida Department of Health, the demographic breakdown of the age of those testing positive ranges from 1 to 94, with the median age being 52 years of age, and 50 percent are male and 50 percent are female.

The current Brevard list includes 127 Florida residents and six non-residents.

COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 35. Four deaths have been reported as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County, including one on Sunday.

The Florida Department of Health reports 2,523 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to the Saturday evening report, 2,341 of those tests have come back negative.

While Florida’s testing has increased, the percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 11 percent. Of the 11,010 tests performed on April 11, there were 1,379 positive results, or 11 percent.

The Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 19,895 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state with 2,672 hospitalized.

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 461 as of Monday morning.

In the U.S., 557,571 cases have been reported and 22,108 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 1,850,527 with 114,245 deaths.
