Cocoa Police Detectives Seeking Identity of Suspects After Grab-and-Dash Theft of Patrón Liquor at Sam’s Club

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police detectives are investigating a retail theft at Sam’s Club where three suspects entered the liquor store and stole multiple cases of Patrón liquor.

According to Cocoa Police Public Information Officer Yvonne Martinez, around 4 p.m. Wednesday Cocoa police officers responded to Sam’s Club, located at 450 Townsend Road after employees called to report the theft.

“A review of the store’s surveillance cameras showed three black males wearing hooded jackets,” said Cocoa Police Sgt. Wil Stephenson.

“Two of the males wore dark-colored shorts and one wore light-colored long pants.”

Martinez said the suspects walked into the store and each removed several cases of alcohol and rushed out the store.

The suspects got into a silver-colored vehicle, possibly a Nissan or Toyota and left the area.

“Patrol officers have information that similar crimes had been occurring in other jurisdictions in Brevard County,” said Martinez.

The crime of retail theft during a state of emergency carries enhanced penalties upon successful prosecution and conviction.
