Harbor City Community Fitness owner Mike Manning says it’s not just that his Melbourne-area club is losing money, but that it should be considered an essential business – like physical or occupational therapy.
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA (WESH.com) — A Central Florida gym owner is defying the state’s plan for business openings and opening anyway, even though fitness clubs are not eligible to reopen yet.
Harbor City Community Fitness owner Mike Manning says it’s not just that his Melbourne-area club is losing money, but that it should be considered an essential business – like physical or occupational therapy.
Manning has refitted his gym for social distancing and is encouraging his customers to come back. He said it’s safer at the gym than Walmart or Home Depot.
