BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A Brevard County Sheriff’s Office North Precinct General Crimes Unit investigation led to the arrest 26-year-old Sammy Lee Mike of Titusville, who had an active felony warrant for his arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and the Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, on July 9 Mike was involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend at a business in Mims. During the course of the dispute, Mike turned his attention to a couple shopping in the store.

“Mike proceeded to yell at the couple and then allegedly threatened to shoot them,” said a Brevard County Sheriff’s  Office Spokesperson.

“As Mike made the threat, the victims stated he lifted up his shirt and displayed a handgun concealed in his waistband. After the threat, Mike left the business and his girlfriend asked the clerk to prevent the victims from leaving the business or they will get shot.

“Agent Travis Williams was able to identify Mike through video surveillance social media and the victims. Agent Williams then obtained an arrest warrant for Mike.”

Mike was then arrested on July 21 by the Sanford police officers, who responded to a domestic dispute involving Mike, where he was observed walking away as the approached.

“Mike then threw a backpack as he was detained,” said a BCSO spokesperson.

“Located in the backpack was a handgun and a trafficking amount of Heroin. It was determined the handgun was stolen from a previous vehicle burglary in Mims. Mike was transported to the Seminole County Jail on a $135,500 bond where he awaits extradition to Brevard County.”
