Melbourne Police Arrest Five Suspects After Warrant Sweep Operation on University Blvd. Corridor

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit, along with the assistance from the community response team, conducted a recent warrant sweep operation that resulted in the arrest five individuals.
The operation was conducted on the university blvd. corridor to address an increase in violent crime in south Melbourne.
Detectives along with members from the patrol division seized hydrocodone pills along with cocaine during the operation.
The below suspects were arrested in reference to the charges listed:
• Gynetta Dorsett, 32
• Christopher Akers, 42
• Troy Wright, 29
• Kenneth Gordon, 37
• Jharise Jamal Jones-Sullivan, 30

Gynetta Dorsett, 32, charged with tampering with evidence, resisting arrest without violence.

Christopher Akers, 42, charged with possession of cocaine.

Troy Wright, 29, charged with felony warrants.

Kenneth Gordon, 37, charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, driving without a license.

Jharise Jamal Jones-Sullivan, 30, charged with possession of hydrocodone.
