Two Teens in Titusville Arrested for Stealing Guns, Vehicle Burglary

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Two Titusville teens were arrested in connection with a vehicle burglary which included two stolen guns on Wednesday.
Titusville Police responded to reports from concerned neighbors regarding individuals attempting to break into vehicles, as well as, continuing to wander through the Sisson Meadows neighborhood between 12:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., on Wednesday.
No suspects were located at that time.
Hours later, at 7:20 a.m., police responded to a report of a gun found in the yard at a residence in the Sisson Meadows neighborhood.
In addition, at 8 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle burglary, in which the suspect stole to guns from inside the car, at a residence on Breakaway Trail in that same neighborhood.
The juveniles, ages 15 and 14 years old, both of Titusville, were charged with two Felony Counts- Theft of a Gun from a Vehicle and one Felony Count -Felony Armed Burglary of a Conveyance.
One stolen gun was recovered in a neighbor’s yard mentioned in the prior 7:20 AM report, and one gun has not been located.
At approximately 10 am., police encountered two juveniles in the Sisson Meadows neighborhood, who were looking for something near a pond adjacent to the yard where one of the stolen guns was recovered.
Investigative evidence, including surveillance video, led to the arrest of those two juveniles, who were identified as the early morning vehicle burglary suspects.
The juveniles, ages 15 and 14 years old, both of Titusville, were charged with two Felony Counts- Theft of a Gun from a Vehicle and one Felony Count -Felony Armed Burglary of a Conveyance.
The two teen suspects were transported to the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center.
