Titusville Fire Department Extinguishes Kitchen Fire at Apartment, Saves Three Dogs and One Cat

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville firefighters extinguished a kitchen fire at an apartment on Monday, located on the 3600 block of Barna Ave.

A spokesperson with the Titusville Fire Department says their crew was able to protect the rest of the apartments in area and limit the fire damage to just the kitchen of the apartment.

One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters were also able to save all three dogs and one cat in the apartment, with some receiving oxygen on scene.

No further injuries were reported.

According to the Titusvillle Fire Department, the fire was said to be from cooking and the occupant tried to extinguish without success before evacuating.

No damage noted to any of the adjoining apartments.
