BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College tennis coach Bobby Cashman has been named the United States Professional Tennis Association Florida Division College Coach of the Year.

Cashman has led the men’s and women’s tennis teams to the national tournament in his first two seasons with the program. The men’s tennis team finished sixth in the nation in 2018 and tied for fourth in 2019.

The women’s team made the national tournament for the first time in program history in 2018, finishing fifth in the national tournament.

He has been a member of USPTA for 13 years. Also involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, he has volunteered his time to provide a series of free clinics for inner-city children.

The tennis teams will be back on the court this spring, the schedule coming out soon.
