message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey

As we look to the next era and chapter of our great nation, I want our entire community to remember that we are blessed to live in Brevard County, a safe community where we all stand strong in our individual values and principals but also set our differences aside when need be, to help make our community one of the best in the country!

SHERIFF IVEY: SERVING AS A CONSTITUTIONAL SHERIFF MEANS STANDING STRONG IN DEFENSE OF OUR CITIZENS, OUR COPS AND OUR CONSTITUTION!

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – With the election now behind us and the next Sheriff’s election not until 2024, I temporarily changed the name of our Re-Elect Facebook page to “Constitutional Sheriff Wayne Ivey” as in 2013 while being sworn in as Sheriff of Brevard County I proudly took an oath to support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

In doing so I made a commitment to serve as the first and last line of defense for our citizens, essentially to serve as a “Constitutional Sheriff” that is unwavering in the protection of our rights and freedoms.

It is an oath that I take great pride in and one that I am committed to upholding for as long as our citizens allow me to serve as their Sheriff.

Embedded within that oath is a promise to our citizens that I will forever stand strong in protecting what I call the 3 C’s, our citizens, our cops, and our Constitution.

As I start my third term as Sheriff of Brevard County, I am truly humbled to serve our citizens, our community, and our agency in what is without question the greatest honor of my career.

I love this job and one of the things that makes it so incredible is that I have the privilege to serve with the 1,600 proud men and women of our agency who knock it out of the park every day to keep our community safe.

They are true heroes who stand guard at the door keeping evil away from our community and I could not be more proud of them.

As Law Enforcement Officers in Brevard County we also know we are blessed to serve in a community that loves us, trusts us, and protects us, just as much as we love, trust, and protect them.

It is an amazing feeling and sadly not one that all agencies across the country are blessed with, so please know how thankful we are to serve our citizens.

As Sheriff, I could also not be more proud of our amazing community as in my opinion we serve as a model community for others to follow in how we face crisis, adversity, and success.

As we have all watched over the course of the past year how other communities and groups have reacted to various issues, we as a community have not reacted, but instead have responded to those same challenges with poise and professionalism.

In the past year our community has shared it’s emotions, concerns, and successes in precisely the way we should…with respect for one another!

As we look to the next era and chapter of our great nation, I want our entire community to remember that we are blessed to live in Brevard County, a safe community where we all stand strong in our individual values and principals but also set our differences aside when need be, to help make our community one of the best in the country!
