BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy 3-Star junior quarterback Davin Wydner will transfer to Cocoa High School for his senior year, according to a 321recruits Twitter post.
Last season, the 6-foot-5-inch, 218 pounder threw for 2,809 yards and 24 touchdowns in 2020. In his sophomore season, he completed 177 of his 274 pass attempts and had 8 interceptions.
Cocoa Tigers Head Football Coach Ryan Schneider had a few things to say about the program’s latest acquisition.
“We’re excited, whenever you can add a piece like Davin it’s special,” said Schneider.
“We’re going to have him earn his position, we have a few guys coming up we’re excited about as well. He’s going to come in here and compete.”
When asked about the possibility of making adjustments to their offense Coach Scheider said, “It’s too early to say. A lot of aspects have to come together first.”
Thus far, Wydner has more than 10 scholarship offers, including interest from Florida State, Penn State and Nebraska.
