(FOX NEWS) – Israel renewed airstrikes on Saturday after 200 rockets were fired at the democratic state, with Israel taking out a media building that housed Al Jazeera and other outlets – and it said was being used by Hamas terrorists.

At least 10 Palestinians were reportedly killed in the air raid in Gaza early Saturday as the days-long violence intensified. Israel also took out a high rise building in Gaza City that housed media outlets including Al-Jazeera and the Associated Press after the military ordered it to be evacuated.

The Israel Defense Force said that it was being used by Hamas, who were using media outlets as a shield. The building was evacuated before it was struck.

Saturday’s strike was the deadliest single assault since the battle with Gaza’s militant Hamas rulers erupted earlier this week.
