Melbourne Boardwalk Triathlon Will Cause Lane Closures on Eau Gallie, Melbourne Causeways Aug. 1

Road closures will begin at 5 a.m

There will be some lane closures on U.S. 1 between and on Eau Gallie Causeway and Melbourne Causeway on August 1 from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the Melbourne Boardwalk Triathlon.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – There will be some lane closures on U.S. 1 between and on Eau Gallie Causeway and Melbourne Causeway on August 1 from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the 8th Annual  Melbourne Boardwalk Triathlon.

The bicycle portion of the Melbourne Boardwalk Triathlon will take place from 7 a.m. through 10 a.m.

Road closures will begin at 5 a.m.

The event begins in the Town of Indialantic, travels west over the Melbourne Causeway, north on Highway U.S. 1, east on Shady Lane, north on Highland Avenue, east over the Eau Gallie Causeway, south on Riverside Drive, and returning to the Town of Indialantic.

The Indialantic Boardwalk Triathlon, which starts at Nance Park, is nestled between the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. Participants will swim through the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, bike along the Indian River Lagoon and run through the quiet beach-side neighborhoods.

The event begins in the Town of Indialantic, travels west over the Melbourne Causeway, north on Highway U.S. 1, east on Shady Lane, north on Highland Avenue, east over the Eau Gallie Causeway, south on Riverside Drive, and returning to the Town of Indialantic.
