Florida Tech Names Christina Hardman Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech Director of Athletic Communications Daniel Supraner has announced the hire of Christina Hardman as the new Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.

“We are excited to have Christina as a member of our team,” said Supraner.

“Based on her experience and enthusiastic approach to her work, Christina is going to be an excellent addition to our athletic communications department. We are very happy to be able to bring her skill set, knowledge, and dedication to Florida Tech.”

In her role, Hardman will serve as the primary contact for Florida Tech’s men’s soccer, women’s basketball, softball and women’s rowing programs.

“I am thrilled to join the team at Florida Tech,” Hardman stated.

“I look forward to telling the stories of the athletic department’s teams, coaches and scholar-athletes’ accomplishments on the playing surface and in the classroom, as well as working alongside some great individuals.”

Hardman comes to Florida Tech from West Liberty University in West Virginia where she served as Athletic Operations Specialist since January 2021 and worked as the Graduate Assistant for Operations and Sports Information from August 2019 to December 2020.

During her time at West Liberty, Hardman served as the contact for all of the Hilltoppers sports teams, producing press releases, collecting and maintaining up-to-date statistics, promoting student-athletes and teams on social media and publications, and coordinating the streaming of game broadcasts.

Additionally, Hardman worked as Front Office Intern with MiLB’s Connecticut Tigers during the summer of 2019, and as the Event Management and Marketing Intern for the Connecticut Sports Management Group in 2018, assisting with the ShopRite Nutmeg State Games.

A former Division I student-athlete, Hardman was a member of the women’s rowing team at Sacred Heart University from 2016 to 2019. She was the recipient of the team’s Coaches Award in 2017, Most Dedicated Award in 2018 and Comeback Award in 2019.

During her time at Sacred Heart, she also served as a student assistant in the athletic department’s External Relations Office and assisted in sports information, game day and box office operations.

Hardman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management and Finance from Sacred Heart in May 2019 and recently finished her master’s in business administration from West Liberty in May 2021.
