Titusville Man Charged with Second-Degree Murder For Shooting Woman Multiple Times on Saturday

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have arrested 32-year-old Rod Patrick Swim from Titusville in connection with the homicide of a woman on Saturday.

Swim has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

Police say they responded to the scene on Saturday, August 7, at around 1:22 p.m. regarding a report of a shooting at a residence on the 4000 block of Coquina Avenue in Titusville.

According to police, the preliminary investigation revealed Swim shot the woman multiple times inside the residence and then dialed 9-1-1 to report his actions.

When police arrived at the scene, they located the suspect outside of the residence where he was then taken into custody without incident.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Swim has been booked into the Brevard County Jail without bond and is scheduled to appear before a judge on Sunday for initial appearance.
