BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey recently appeared on the Newsmax TV’s ‘Chris Salcedo Show’ to discuss illegal immigration and the border crisis on the US-Mexico Border.

“I’m proud of our Governor for taking a stand and helping Texas and Arizona,” said Sheriff Ivey during the TV segment.

“Gov DeSantis is a no-nonsense governor. He understands that we need to fight this at the border and not in our backyards. Gov. DeSantis also found out while he was there in Texas that 70-percent of the people crossing the border were heading to Florida.”

The latest report shows that Florida law enforcement, who were deployed to Texas, have apprehended over 4,200 illegal immigrants while helping patrol the border since June.

“Thank you to Chris Salcedo and Newsmax for having me on yesterday along with Former Federal Prosecutor Jim Trusty to talk about the impacts of Illegal Immigration and the border crisis that is impacting the safety of our nation,” said Sheriff Ivey.

“From illegals with COVID-19 being unknowingly housed in hotels to the hazards our brothers and sisters in Law Enforcement are facing at the border, there is no question that the impacts of Illegal Immigration don’t stop at the border, but instead, filter into every community in our country.”
