BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey released a video about Animal Cruelty case that resulted in the arrest of suspect Michael Marshall on Wednesday.

Sheriff Ivey says the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from a citizen who was conducting pest control at a home on Skylark Ave. in Merritt Island when he noticed the abused dogs inside the home.

Marshall allegedly asked the pest control worker not to report him to the authorities for the condition of his animals.

As a result, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey walked Marshall into the Brevard County Jail on Wednesday.

“Mr. Marshall, I guess you didn’t get the memo about not harming an animal in Brevard County… You are going right where you belong. Hopefully you get your act together” said Sheriff Ivey when walking Marshall to the Brevard County Jail.

Michael Marshall, 29, from Merritt Island, was booked into the Brevard County Jail and charged with Felony Animal Cruelty.

His bond has been set at $10,000.

Marshall’s initial court appearance is scheduled for Thursday at 1:15 p.m.
