Week 2 Schedule for the high school football season on the Space Coast.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – After an exciting Week 1 of the high school football season, filled with upsets and close games across Brevard County, Week 2 of the high school football season features a wide array of matchups and storylines.

Astronaut @ Melbourne • 7 p.m. – Both teams had tough losses in week 1. One of these teams will come out of Week 2 with an 0-2 record which would be a surprise for any one of these teams given the talent level on both squads.

*^ Osceola County @ Cocoa • 7 p.m. Space Coast Daily Game of the Week– Cocoa is coming off an emotional overtime win over Vero Beach on the road. Cocoa’s home opener vs Osceola County figures to be an easier matchup for the Tigers but could present some problems early on before Cocoa travels to Venice next week. Game will be shown on Apple TV, ROKU, Amazon Firestick via Space Coast Daily TV.

Cocoa Beach @ MCC • 7 p.m. – MCC suffered a blowout 49-7 loss to rival Holy Trinity. Hustlers host Cocoa Beach for a chance to rebound. This will be the Minutemen’s season opener.

* Sebastian River @ Merritt Island • 7 p.m. – Merritt Island utilized six takeaways to defeat the Melbourne Bulldogs 19-6. The Mustangs defense figures to be the strength for Coach Hurlie Brown this season. Game will be shown on Space Coast Daily TV.

* Palm Beach Lakes @ Rockledge • 7 p.m. Friday Night Locker Room Game of the Week – After an impressive 24-10 win over rival Viera, Rockledge Raiders figure to be one of the top teams in Brevard County again this year. Palm Beach Lakes is coming off a heartbreaking 14-7 loss to Glades Central last week. Game will be shown on Space Coast Daily TV.

Eau Gallie @ Satellite • 7 p.m. – Eau Gallie had one of the most dominating performances last week on the Space Coast after blanking the Astronaut War Eagles 31-0. Satellite equally had a dominating performance last week with 37-0 victory over Lake Howell on the road. Both teams are vying for a  2-0 to start to the season.

Heritage @ Harmony • 7 p.m. – Heritage Panthers travel to Harmony to take on the Longhorns in their season opener. Harmony defeated Mount Dora last week 35-0.

Holy Trinity @ Titusville • 7 p.m. – A young Holy Trinity team was very impressive in their 49-7 win over MCC last week. Head Coach Nate Hooks will travel north on US-1 to take on a Terriers squad that was embarrassed last week against Lake Highland Prep by way of a 54-0 loss.

Space Coast @ Palm Bay • 7 p.m. – Palm Bay Head Coach Jake Owens will welcome his former team the Space Coast Vipers into Pirates Stadium this week. Coach Owens coached Space Coast for six seasons before resigning after the 2017 season. Palm Bay would love for nothing more than to start the era under Coach Owens than with a victory to open the season.

Viera @ Baker County • 7 p.m. – Viera desperately needs a victory this week after the tough loss to Rockledge last week or they could be looking at 0-3 in the face with Vero Beach coming to town next week. Baker County defeated Bradford 28-18 last week.
