Day’Shawn Baker, a native of Ohio and resident of Cocoa Beach, is being remembered by family and friends for his vibrant personality, dedication to loved ones, and passion for music.
BREVARD COUNTY• COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Day’Shawn Baker, a native of Ohio and resident of Cocoa Beach, is being remembered by family and friends for his vibrant personality, dedication to loved ones, and passion for music.
Baker is survived by his two children, Ty’Ren Clark and Ta’Mira Hutchins; his mother, Kelly Camp, and stepfather, Wayne Jones; five brothers, Spencer Alley, Derrick, Del’Quan, Da’Quandae, and Da’Mohn Baker; and two sisters, D’Erykah and Dizaria Baker.
He is also survived by several extended family members, including aunts Samantha Camp, Amanda Kraft, and Anedra Burns, as well as his uncle Alan Hoover, who served as a guiding influence in his life.
Family members say Baker shared a special bond with several cousins and was especially close to friends William Morton and Micheal Sweet Sr.
He was preceded in death by his father, Derrick Baker Sr., and his grandparents, Sam and Linda Camp.
In recent years, Baker had been focused on building a better future, working in the industry while pursuing his GED and strengthening his commitment to family and faith.
Known for his unique personality, he was described as both outgoing and quietly reflective, leaving a lasting impression on those around him.
Baker also had a deep passion for music, particularly rap, where loved ones say he showed exceptional talent and dedication.
His infectious laugh and bright smile were often noted as defining traits, bringing joy to those in his presence.
Visitation services will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home and Crematory, with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Family and friends will be invited to share memories and stories celebrating Baker’s life.
Loved ones say his spirit will continue to live on through the memories he created and the lives he touched.
