ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA – Sophomore Delia Timpy hit a hole-in-one on the 15th hole, a 157-yard par 3 hole as the Eastern Florida State College women’s golf team moved up to finish 13th in the Flagler Fall Slam in St. Augustine.

In 2012 as a 12-year-old, Timpy sunk the first hole-in-one in Space Coast Junior Golf Tour competition history on the third hole at Cocoa Beach Country Club.

Timpy finished strong to shoot an 82 in the final round and the Titans shot a 320 Tuesday in the final round at Marsh Creek Country Club.

Kira Shellman tied for 13th overall, shooting a 75 in the final round of the tournament.

Teammate Jasmine Yang finished tied for 48th overall with an 81 for the second straight round. Olivia Timpy shot an 82 and Savannah Hawthorne finished with an 88.

“Good, solid play by Kira all day in tough conditions. Congratulations to Delia on the hole in one,” Eastern Florida State College women’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

“The team did a bit better and when we eliminate the unforced errors it will be curious to see the scoring. We go into the winter break with plenty of information and time to plan for the spring.”
