Melbourne Police Special Investigations Unit Arrests One After Proactive Enforcement Detail

MPD CHARGES Ellena M. Mroz, 29, with Solicitation to Commit Prostitution

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department Special Investigations Unit, along with assistance from the Community Response Team conducted a proactive enforcement detail on Wednesday evening targeting online prostitution activity.

According to Melbourne Police Lt. Ryan Schorer, during this operation officers arrested Ellena M. Mroz, 29, as detectives were utilized in an undercover capacity, posing as a person who engages in prostitution, commonly referred to as a “John.”

Lt. Schorer said Mroz was arrested and charged with Solicitation to Commit Prostitution and also had an Active Misdemeanor Warrant in Brevard County.
