BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – While everyone is looking forward to celebrating the start of a brand new year, it’s important to make sure we start the year off right by making good choices.
If going out to have a drink while celebrating with family and friends, please choose your ride carefully.
Remember, in Brevard County, you can ride safely home in a taxi, an Uber, or even a Lyft for about $30 or you can ride safely to the Brevard County Jail in the back of one of our cars if you choose to drink and drive!
If you choose to drink and drive, you put your life and everyone around you in harm’s way simply because you were not responsible enough to choose a safe ride home or even to have a designated driver.
In addition, the cost of being arrested for DUI can reach up to $10,000 in bond, attorney’s fees, fines, restitution and even loss of wages from work.
There is nothing wrong with legally having a good time celebrating the dawn of a brand new year, but please if you are gonna drink, be responsible and of course… “CHOOSE YOUR RIDE WISELY!”
