Brevard Solid Waste Management Asks Citizens to Remove Christmas Lights From Trees Before Disposing

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Solid Waste Management is asking citizens to remove Christmas lights from their tree before disposing of them.
Improper handling of lights is a costly issue that also causes more environmental impact from added transport.
The Brevard County Solid Waste Management mission is to protect public health by providing an efficient and environmentally sound Solid Waste Management System for Brevard County’s Customers.
Brevard County Solid Waste Management facilities consist of two landfills, including the Central Disposal Facility in Cocoa and the Sarno Landfill in Melbourne.
