Eastern Florida State Titans Basketball Team Cruise Past Florida State College 73-49

Titans improve to 15-6 overall

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team used a strong second half to defeat the Florida State College at Jacksonville Saturday afternoon at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
The Titans improved to 15-6 overall and 5-1 in the Central Conference after the 73-49 victory on Saturday.
After a slow first half, the Titans came out strong in the second half behind Markus Harding who scored the first five points of the second half and nine straight points for the Titans as a three-point lead turned into a 10-point lead.
From there the Titans continued to build on the lead to pick up their fifth straight victory.
Harding led the Titans with 16 points, all coming in the second half. Justin Reid finished with 11 points and six rebounds.
The 1999-2000 team was honored at halftime of the game as members of the team were at Saturday’s game.
Eastern Florida State College will hit the road for a couple of conference games, playing at Polk State College Wednesday and then traveling to Santa Fe College Saturday before returning to Daytona State College on February 2.
